ASICS x HIDDEN® Gel-Kinetic 2.0 White / Hazy Lilac

The HIDDEN GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0 sneaker is a spiritual successor to HIDDEN’s first ASICS project, the HIDDEN GEL-NYC™, which drew its visual language from the design tools its audience uses every day - Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, the contemporary creative suite. The GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0 looks further back, to the early digital art software that preceded them, and to MacPaint in particular. Built specifically for walking - not running, not training - the model arrives in two versions: a General Release in white and green, the classic HIDDEN palette, and a Limited Edition referencing the beige and grey tones of early Macintosh hardware, an artifact of an era of computing once present and now distant. Both colorways share the impressive technical details - some visible, some hiding - in the GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0.

 

The GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0 represents a futuristic expression of footwear. The development process showcased the full capabilities of the ISS, where advanced foot pressure testing data informed the strategic placement of GEL™ pods underfoot.

The shoe’s Scutoid GEL™ Technology is more twisted and angular to provide greater flexibility, and the component inside is upside down to ease burden on any one location and give more comfort overall. The soft FF BLAST™ PLUS technology, encased in a precision-engineered TPU cage, offers a seamless fusion of cushioning and stability.

In addition, the heel design comprises two layers to allow a fit for every heel shape, regardless of whether laces are worn loose or tight. Thoughtful details such as these create a mix of softness and hardness in the GEL-KINETIC™ 2.0 that provide both comfort and stability for movement with purpose.
