Mozaik Cappellini Knotted Chair

The iconic Knotted Chair is a visionary creation by Marcel Wanders, reimagining the tiny chairs used to decorate dollhouses as a striking piece for adults. The project has been officially recognized by being included in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

By dissolving the boundary between craftsmanship and industrial production, Wanders transformed this chair into a work of art meant to be cherished at home and integrated into everyday life.

Inspired by the macramé technique, the Knotted Chair features an unexpected structure made from carbon fiber cords coated with aramid fiber and finished with epoxy resin. The result is an innovative object with a romantic essence—an entirely unique collectible in the history of international design.
